«Tanagra», plate 39 from La Gazette du Bon Ton, 1921 (n°5), drawn by Eduardo García Benito, the Spanish illustrator later a signature Art Deco cover artist for Condé Nast's Vogue. It presents an evening gown trimmed with feathers from the house of Beer, the Place Vendôme couturier of German-born Gustave Beer, hand-coloured in the review's refined pochoir.
