Two women in long black evening gowns stand in this vintage 1937 clipping for Schiaparelli, illustrated by Edy Legrand: one wears a black hat with a plume and a jacket bodice scrolled with white embroidery, the other has white flowers in her hair, white blossoms at the neckline and a trailing cape sleeve. A mermaid, a scallop shell, a ship, a whale and a winged cupid with a bow surround them against a yellow and grey seaside sky.
