Many of Mary Nowitzky's new pyjamas are startlingly black and white. This model has a nautical suggestion in the striped bathing-suit top, like a French sailor's. The entire costume is made in black and white fine wool jersey, sewn together in graduated stripes. The bathing-suit has black jersey shorts. Schiaparelli's original pyjamas have jacket and trouser yoke of blue string mesh. Attached to the yoke are wide straight trousers of heavy blue linen, woven with a red stripe. Her bathing-suits are all simple, made of diagonally woven, heavy tricot, end worn with a special, invisible soutien gorge.
