Two women in evening gowns stand in this collectible 1936 clipping illustrated by Jean-Gabriel Domergue: Jeanne Lanvin's mottled green halter-neck gown with a large draped bow at the hip and a trailing hem, and Callot's draped gown with a flared skirt printed with large blue, red and yellow flowers on a dark ground, both painted in loose colour. A preserved paper witness of mid-1930s evening couture.
