A collectible 1940 advertisement for McCallum and Propper stockings, preserved as a paper witness of the hosiery trade. A woman's legs seen from behind in sheer seamed stockings with a darker tone-on-tone heel and black high-heeled shoes, beside a pale line sketch at the left edge, under the headline «Thrilling ankles are made (not born)» and the product name Satinskins.
