«Le Paysage Romantique», an original 1914 pochoir fashion plate by Bernard Boutet de Monvel, the French painter and engraver whose rectilinear early style prefigured Art Deco, for La Gazette du Bon Ton (n°7, Planche 68). It presents a tailored suit (costume tailleur) by Worth, the house widely called the father of haute couture, hand-stencilled in the magazine's celebrated pochoir colouring.
