Two women in Pierre Balmain wool outfits walk before a blue and white striped curtain in this original 1945 clipping drawn by René Gruau: on the left a small green wool jacket with two patch pockets over a long black dress, black gloves and a small hat, on the right a black velvet bodice cut in a trapeze neckline under a velvet-lined cape, with a veiled hat and long gloves, captioned «petite veste de lainage vert» and «cape doublée de velours».
