French Haute Couture wisely substituted the essential truths of Paris Fashion for the usual showing of quickly out-dated frocks. In the center of the hall a Phidias replica draped in French colors symbolizes the eternal spirit behind all art - including couture. Under each velvet-sheathed arcade a bas relief represents the type of feminine beauty each of the 20 exhibiting couturiers prefers to dress... decked as his fancy dictated.
"Next Door" 7 furriers chosen as representatives by their corporation decked the figures of their polychrome frieze with rare furs.
