Pol Rab (French, 1898-1933) was a poster designer, caricaturist and painter. He created sets and costumes for all the Parisian music halls, and occasionally for theatres in New York, London and Madrid. He became famous for Pas Pour Jeunes Filles, a book he wrote and illustrated on the musings of Ric and Rac, two immortal canine philosophers. He founded the Salon des Moins de Trente Ans, and was also a member of the Comité de la Fédération des Artistes and artistic director of the Casino de Cabourg and of the Palm Beach, Cannes. He recieved the Grand Prix des Arts Décoratifs.
