It was Mr. George Barbier who was commissioned to draw the costumes of Casanova at Bouffes-Parisiens, and of Lysistrata at the Theater-Marigny; The skill with which he executed all the models of these two pieces shows that he possesses in the highest degree the feeling of color. Thanks to its extreme amiability we can reproduce in this article four of these exquisite models.
