Vionnet's long evening Coats are as sculpturesque as the robes of an ancient doge of Venice. This one, No. 6351, is in dahlia velvet, like a deep ruby, with Vionnet's characteristic fur trimming, a moderetely high collar which crosses in front, and fastens at the side, making a belt in the beck. Here it is of ermine, and the color is repeated in the white gown. This surplice line runs through the collection.
