SALVADOR DALI PAINTING THESE TWO PAGES

As an experiment, painter Dali took along with him on a recent holiday a few modern fashion accessories-in order to see what part they might play in one of his new paintings. On these pages is the imaginative result­accessories of today transplanted into a mythological world.

Bridging the rocks is a Delman calfskin walking shoe; Bergdorf Goodman.
The long blue suède glove is from Saks Fifth Avenue.
Hanging over a boulder is a Midtown belt of braid and suède; from Henri Bendel.
Giant pink tourmalines make the Verdura clip.
