Detailed description
NICOLE GROULT
French dressmaker (1887-1967). Sister of Paul Poiret, Nicole Groult is the wife of André Groult famous designer whose career began in 1906. From 1909, the designer creates models André Groult. Her house is located at 29, rue Anjou.

She started making her own dresses when she was very young,
although even then she could afford to go to the best couture houses. Her clothes were so individual and so well liked that her friends urged her to make a few models and take orders. She started showing small collections of clothes above her husband's business establishment on the rue d'Anjou. He was André Groult, well-known interior decorator.
