For the New York flat of Prince and Princess Gourielli (she is Helena Rubinstein), Dali painted three murals. Gigantic miniatures, with light welling up from the background, a mocking perfection of detail, they show Dali's recurrent symbols birds, insects, keys, sandaled feet explained in his convoluted book, "The Secret Life of Salvador Dall." In the Dali room, short dinner-dresses, pink and turquoise-blue, etched with black, Adele Simpson designs of Enka rayon crêpe.
